W&J Norhants The Haystore Feb 2010 Fantastic, fabulous & fun. An exceptional barn conversion in an idyllic area. Springtime climate is both complex and enchanting, Red Squirrels add to the unique ambience of the total package. We will be back - much more to see and enjoy.

S&S, Surrey The Haystore Feb 2010 The accommodation is of an amazing standard, more like 5 star than 4! The setting is lovely and quiet, the Black Swan pub has the most amazing local food I have ever tasted, and the facilities you provide in the cottage are outstanding. My favourite feature is the gallery overlooking the living area. How nice to sit up there of an evening with a drink and relax. I must say you have thought of everything for one to enjoy one's stay!

Anne and Patrick, you have a fabulous place - all the extra touches are special and appreciated. Would love to keep Green Barn a secret for us to be able to book in again, but will let the rest of the IoM know - expect an influx of Manxies! Thanks again for helping to rescue us and car from the snow!

A&L, Wilts The Carthouse Dec 2009 We can only say that this was just what the doctor would have ordered. There has been so much snow that going out in the car was not an option, but that was better. We are so chilled, no shopping, no crowds, only peace, quiet, beautiful scenery, great walks and fantastic accommodation. The Carthouse has been restored by craftsmen of the highest quality. The hosts think of everything, all the little things are here. Whenever you think of something you forgot to bring, all you need to do is open another drawer and it is there. We have stayed in so many places where we thought "that would have been nice", or "they could have done that". Not here, this is quality of the highest standard and penny pinching simply does not enter their heads. They have thought of everything. Thank you Patrick and Anne. We will see you again in September.

Weather was poor but still managed some lovely walks and saw several red squirrels, buzzards and an osprey! The Byre was extremely well equipped and very cosy. Lovely friendly welcome upon arrival and we were all impressed by the quality of the place and how well-equipped it is. Saw the red squirrels each morning and even managed to film them. The house is just wonderful with everything you could possibly need or want, the views are amazing and the outdoor area to wander and play in are a dream. Totally idyllic! Thank you for being so welcoming and accommodating - we will be back for a nice long holiday here very soon I hope. Anyone that asks me of a great place to go in Cumbria - I will mention The Green.

J&R Netherlands The Byre Jun 2009 Hi all, we were here for 2 weeks. We had marvellous weather which made our holiday extra nice. The beautiful countryside was a tonic, we loved being amidst the sheep, rabbits, hares, squirrels. (although we didn't see too many of those!) and horses. We found the people to be extremely friendly. Everything was great about this holiday but I have to say that this beautiful house and where it's situated, combined with the extra detail for attention from Anne and Patrick have made our holiday a success! We will surely be back and will recommend the accommodation to everyone, really The Best!

Although your website conveys faithfully the quality of the interiors, it is not until you spend some time at the Green that you can appreciate what a lovely little oasis it is set in.
